Penn State Erie, the Behrend College, is home to 24 NCAA Division III athletic teams and a variety of athletic facilities.
The Junker Center is a 72,800-square-foot site that features three all-purpose courts and a gymnasium seating 1,600, an eight-lane swimming pool, weight room, three-lane running track, jumping pits, aerobics room, eight locker rooms, offices, and a variety of exercise equipment. The venue offers parking for 400 onsite, with more than 130 spaces in an overflow lot 100 yards away.
Behrend recently completed a $1.9 million soccer/lacrosse facility with synthetic turf, lighting, and a grandstand with seating for 350.
Behrend’s campus is also home to two sand volleyball courts, an eight-lane competition-level track, six lighted tennis courts, a baseball and softball complex, nine hole disc golf course, and plenty of space and parking for running events.
