  • Petersen Events Center is a 12,508sqft multipurpose arena which serves as the home for the Pitt men's and women's basketball programs, as well as numerous campus events, graduation ceremonies, concerts and modern recreational and fitness facilities.
  • The center features the main court with 12,508 seats, 2,000 club seats, 106 court side seats, 4 court-side suites, a special event court-side suite, 12 club suites and a club lounge.
  • The center also features the Baierl Student Recreation Center with 40,000 square feet of recreation space including 4 racquetball courts, 2 squash courts and the Lignelli Family Practice Gym is a full size auxiliary practice gymnasium.
  • Petersen Events Center has previously hosted Senior Olympics (headquarters, basketball, volleyball, racquetball, table tennis), NCAA Women's Division I Basketball Championship - 1st and 2nd Rounds, and National Kidney Foundation U.S. Transplant Games (closing ceremonies).
